Hello Families,

This August we will be teaching kids that God has a plan for them and part of that plan is to live like Jesus. In Matthew 7:24-29, Jesus explained that when we listen to Him and do what He says, we are like the builder who built his house on the rock—the strong foundation. Winds and storms came, but the house stood strong because it was built on the right foundation.

Jesus calls us to live like Him, and that starts with having the right foundation—a friendship with Him. When we trust in Jesus, He changes our hearts, helping us want to follow and obey His words. This is how Jesus wants us to live—to do what He says out of a heart that loves and follows Him.

Week 1 of camp is officially underway, and the kids are already having an amazing time! Thank you for your continued prayers. Please keep praying for every child who walks through our doors, that they would come to know who Jesus is, experience His love, and be encouraged to shine His light in their homes, schools, and communities.

We’re also looking forward to Week 2, which begins in two weeks! There are still spots available, so if you know any families or friends who might be interested, we’d love for you to invite them to join us for another exciting week of camp.

Elementary Camp is open to kids going into Grades 1–6 in the fall, with two weeks available:

Week 2: August 10–14

• August 9- Park Day! We will be taking the kids to the park during Sunday school time. Please dress kids for the weather, bring sunscreen, hats, and waterbottles. Please sign in at the front as usual, pick up for all kids will be in the fellowship hall.
• Family Sunday – August 30 – There will be no Sunday School on this day. Kids are invited to join their parents in the main service as we worship together as a church family!

Join us for our annual End of Summer BBQ Bash on Sunday, August 30, The event will start following the service and run until 3 PM. We will meet at the park near the curling center!

This is one of our favorite family events of the year as we gather to celebrate all that God has done over the past year. We'll also take time to celebrate our kids as they move up to their new Sunday classes and recognize those who are transitioning from Children's Ministry into Youth Ministry.

Please also bring a picnic mat or lawn chair! There are a few tables but won't be enough for everyone!

We hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful summer so far! With Week 1 of camp now underway, it's exciting to see all that God is doing in the lives of the kids and all our youth leaders. We're also looking forward to gathering together at our End of  Summer BBQ Bash at the end of August and hope to see you there for a fun afternoon of food, fellowship, and community.
