Wouldn’t it be great if we could snap our fingers to make change? Short on money…snap! Want to lose a few pounds…snap! Desire to learn a new skill…snap! Get your kids, parents, or spouse to better understand you…snap! But that’s not how it works, these things require time, discipline, patience, and more; sometimes, they seem impossible. Jesus says that the Kingdom of Heaven is kind of like that. It doesn’t happen by the snap of fingers, ours or God’s, but it grows, day in and day out. Perhaps, at first, it is imperceptible, but as we grow in relationship to him, God’s provision and impact become evident all around us. I look forward to exploring this further as we continue our Kingdom of Heaven series this Sunday examining Jesus’ parables of the mustard seed and yeast!
