This page serves as the official guidelines for in-person gatherings under the Goodtree umbrella. This includes, but is not limited to, events such as small group gatherings, staff/leadership team meetings, and prayer meetings. These guidelines will be continually reviewed and updated in accordance with public health measures. Please review the information under each type of gathering and the related policies. If possible, please register your gathering before it happens, otherwise, please remember to register with the names of who attended afterwards.
Small Group Gatherings
The maximum number of attendees is 20 people (not including infants under 2). This applies to both indoor and outdoor gatherings, though when possible, we encourage small groups to gather outdoors.
A deacon, elder, or pastor must host the gathering.
Please provide a list of attendees before or after the event in case contact tracing is necessary.
Ensure meeting participants are familiar with sanitation protocols (cleaning, physical distancing, etc…).
If you are meeting in the Church building, registration of your gathering must also be done through Angela Graftaas (info@crescentheightsbaptist.com). Please see point #4 for protocols around using church space.
Public Health measures must be able to be applied in all gatherings.

4. Church Space Booking Protocol
Due to COVID-19 still affecting people in our city, we are slowly re-opening our building to small groups of 20 or less and have put specific procedures in place. These procedures are specific to booking church space for gatherings - please see this page here for more detail on Goodtree specific policies.
A task force comprised of leaders from each of the four churches who care for the building gathered June 5 to determine protocols required for making the building available once again for use. Utilizing the information available from Alberta Health, as well as the expertise of one of our own, here are the next steps for building use: The first of which is that we require bookings for all church use and each booking will require a "Host", someone who will be at the meeting and responsible for the hosting duties. You are required to contact a Pastor, an Elder, or a Deacon to establish the host and proceed with the booking. Pastors will act as “host” when you are meeting for counselling or one-on-one appointments.
All bookings will be made by a Pastor or Elder, indicating a designated Host, through Angela Graftaas: info@crescentheightsbaptist.com or 403 277 1831. At this time there will be no communal food sharing. Using a mask is not mandatory and is left to the discretion of those entering the building, but is recommended where a distance of 2m cannot be maintained.
Following are the responsibilities for the "Host". These will be given to each host again at the time of booking along with any other pertinent information:
Host responsibilities/duties:
Provide a list of attendees in advance to Angela Graftaas, the booking coordinator. This is to aid Alberta Health in contact tracing if necessary. If attendees at the meeting differ from those originally listed, please contact Angela Graftaas with the changed list.
Ensure meeting participants are familiar with building protocols.
Providing a symptoms screen and health assessment for attendees. https://myhealth.alberta.ca/journey/covid-19/Pages/COVID-Self-Assessment.aspx
Cleaning any area that has been touched by hands. i.e. doors, bathrooms, tables, chairs, equipment, etc.
Ensure the meeting is contained to the booked area of the building.
Cleaning:
Our church custodian Neil will create cleaning packages. He will determine the packages available, the supplies contained, where the packages are stored, and provide a list of cleaning protocols. Gloves will be provided in the packages for the cleaners (Hosts) use. This information will be available through Angela Graftaas or our GoodTree staff.
